Strawberry Holidays Pricing
Instead of asking how much will it cost to work with a travel agent. You should ask yourself:
How valuable is your own time?
On any given day, an experienced travel agent will already have the answers to the questions you spent hours to find on Google. We do this work day in day out. Travel agents use our masses of experience to fine tune itineraries to allow you to enjoy the most immersive time and the least travel time. We’re precise because we’re well practiced, planning hundreds of itineraries compared to someone who may plan one or two trips per year. Under normal circumstances, a travel agent can make travel planning easier and enhance your holiday enjoyment right from the planning stage.
How much will it cost to not?
Post-pandemic travel is mind-bending. And making an error in your booking or not having someone on hand to help you if things go wrong. As a result this could be a mistake that costs you thousands of pounds.

How much does it cost of a travel agent?
Rather than ask how much does it cost when you do use a travel agent, think about how much it costs you if you don’t! In the era of pandemic travel we’re a priceless partner to have holding your hand, walking you through everything you need and want to know. We’re there at the drop of a hat. You get what you pay for. Pay peanuts get ….
Is there a fee for using a travel agent?
Unlike the misconception, the cost of using a travel agent is generally marginal, and oftentimes they won’t charge you at all. You can rest assured at Strawberry Holidays we will therefore find you the very best value holiday to meet your requirements. And we do it for just a £25 per adult booking fee.
What is the standard cost of a travel agent?
There are plenty of agents (like Strawberry Holidays) who will offer free travel quotes, a handful of travel professionals will charge a service fee. Fees can range from £50-£100 based on their own business plans.
At Strawberry Holidays you only pay the £25 per adult fee when you book with us.
Are travel agents worth it 2022?
You will often never hear what a marvelous job a high street or online travel agent did, no, they’re just too busy. The most specialist and extraordinary care is given by an independent travel professional. At Strawberry Holidays we excel in usefulness if you’re doing a very costly or complex trip, planning a honeymoon or something fancy, or travelling with a large group.
Working one-to-one with you we take care of all the details for you. Don’t want to mess about with online check in and API? Consider it handled. Want a reservation made at the best restaurant in town? We got you.
As part of the largest independent travel agent network in the UK we have access to a number of deals and bulk buying options so you get the very best value for money.
If you’re thinking about booking a vacation in 20221, it’s a no-brainer to book with a travel advisor. Working with an agent can save you both time and money and in turn, reduce all the stress that comes along with travel planning.
Do you pay a travel agent up front?
It’s not common in the UK for agents to charge a planning fee up front to then take that off the cost of the trip itself, but after the last 2 years it is something we expect to see more of. And that could vary from £100 – £500 depending on the agent.
At Strawberry Holidays every holiday crafted is more training and more experience under our belt. So I won’t charge a planning fee up front.
How much commission do UK travel agents make?
Like many aspects of holiday pricing in the UK how much we earn varies wildly. I could spend the same amount of time on two different holidays and earn 7% on one, and over 26% on another.
The travel agent commission is already calculated in the quote price of the holiday package we recommend to you. As is our booking fee (£25 per adult) so there are no surprises.
We earn an average of 7% – 8% commission; this is somewhat standard with host agencies working with self-sufficient agencies. Independent travel agents earning 90% – 100% of the commission are usually high volume seasoned agents like Strawberry Holidays that require little to no support from the host agency.
I’ll just book DIY or direct to save paying commission
Don’t fall for that. There are so many pitfalls to booking your holiday yourself. The larger operators will charge you less but a) you won’t save the full 7-8%, you’ll save some of that and the rest will bulk up their profits. And you’ll get one-to many, sub-par service and advice. So decide now what’s important to you.
How does a travel agent get paid?
Being a travel agent is a commission-based pay, and only on departure – no sales, no departures, no pay.
Are travel agents incentivised to sell specific tour operators?
Yes. We are. I won’t shy away from this, but I only ever recommend additionally incentivised holidays if they’re right for the customer. It helps no-one if you hate the holiday. You’ll bad-mouth me, my reputation and not book again. I don’t want that. I want to be your personal travel agent for life!
