So I find myself persistently saying, “there is a cruise line for everyone”, “use an agent who knows their cruises, you’ll love it and never look back”! But how do you do that? How do you choose a cruise? How do you know if you’ll love Disney Cruise Line? Do you know where to start? We recommend you start with a cruise travel agent.
An experienced cruise agent would never put an older quiet, British couple, on Carnival. Or a young family on P&O (unless they’ve cruised with them before).
So we thought we’d start a regular blog that summarises the high level features of each of our partner cruise lines. We hope a helping hand, guiding you through each of the cruise lines.

What are Disney cruise ships like?
Combining décor that harks back to the golden age of cruising, with contemporary features aimed at families, Disney cruise ships offer a wonderfully elegant yet fun-packed adventure at sea. Enjoy all the hallmarks of Disney quality across spell-binding restaurants, each themed around the famous movies.
Watch the latest releases in the cinema or see them brought to life with amazing performances in the huge theatre. Splash about in the thrilling waterparks, and bump into your favourite characters at special meet-and-greets. And when it’s time for some relaxing fun without the little ones, the adults-only district offers music and dancing amongst lively bars.

Disney have magical cruise holidays full of new discoveries, adventures and cultures, with exciting destinations across Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean just begging to be explored! What makes Disney different?
With decks of sun-drenched Disney magic you won’t find anywhere else, Disney Cruise Line sets everyone in the family on course for spectacular Disney entertainment and unrivalled relaxation.
Explore culture-soaked Greek islands. Stroll down winding canals in Amsterdam, and elegant boulevards in Paris. Relax in blissful thermal waters in Rekykjavik. This is a truly amazing chance to visit those must-see destinations on the family wish-list. And best of all, you’ll return ‘home’ to your ship each night, where plenty of Disney magic awaits.
Come and discover what makes a Disney cruise so different. You’ll be dazzled by breathtaking stage shows, and awed by incredible fireworks’ at sea. The kids will have almost an entire deck of their own, and you’ll get to relax in exclusive areas just for adults. The difference is all these things, and more. The difference is Disney.
Who goes on a Disney Cruise Line cruise?
Half the people travelling are families, and the staterooms are roomier than the industry average. The other half are couples looking for the “Disney Experience”.
Itineraries departing from U.S. cities attract predominantly Americans. When the ship sails in Europe, you’ll notice more diversity, with less than half of the passengers hailing from the U.S. and the other percentage a mix of Spanish, Middle Eastern, British, Chinese and Japanese.
What are the dress codes for a Disney cruise?
Dress code is casual during the day and resort casual — trousers and collared shirts for men and casual dresses or trousers with a blouse for women — in the evenings. Mouse ears and costumes are encouraged, and you’ll see little princesses and pirates roaming the ship, as well as Marvel costumes during Marvel Day at Sea; adults often dress up for the latter, as well as Pirate Night.
Something for everyone in your crew, when you sail with Disney, so much is already built into the price. The staterooms are the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. Your children won’t want to leave the kids’ and teens’ clubs. The dining is to-dine-for. And then there’s the original Disney entertainment. Magic really is on the horizon.
