Trying to describe all the facets of a cruise line the size of Princess Cruises in one small blog post is next to impossible. They’re so diverse and cater for a wide audience. I believe there is at least one cruise line for everyone. So in this post I’ve researched Princess Cruises FAQs about the experience and hopefully, you’ll find an answer here…
Princess Cruises Experience
Questions under this heading included the very generic to the very specific about the experience for families and if you can smoke onboard.
Are Princess Cruises good? Are Princess Cruises any good? How are Princess Cruises? Why Princess Cruises? How do Princess Cruises compare?
Such a subjective set of questions! The answer to which will depend on your cruising experience. Before I visited a Princess ship I had seen many across different cruise lines, everything from Royal Caribbean to 6-star Crystal Cruises. Before I sailed on Sky Princess in 2019 I had sailed on several other cruise lines, on new ships and older members of the Celebrity fleet.
Princess Cruises has a distinct quality to it, it’s a fantastic standard of cruising. The ships are beautiful, there is a great deal of space on board. The facilities are far-reaching and they really know how to entertain onboard and ashore.
The cruise line want to be distinguished by their itineraries and their programmes at the US west coast, Alaska, Australia are really wonderful. Providing more choice in regions that other cruise lines are a little thin.
How does Princess Cruises compare to Celebrity Cruises? I’ve sailed on the Celebrity Eclipse, and personally, maybe even controversially. I prefer Princess Cruises. Thanks to the entertainment and variety of included dining options.
How does Princess Cruises compare to Norwegian? This is very difficult for me to call, NCL are our family’s absolute favourite. But I see us sailing on Princess Cruises next, because the standard of cruising is just as fabulous, with the same level of family entertainment but excellent value for money. (Remember on selected sailings you pay just £99 or £199 for 3rd and 4th passengers!)
