New Cruise Ships for 2019!

One of the most exciting things about working in travel is the pace. It seems like only yesterday we were on the inaugural sailing of Norwegian Bliss. Now we’re gearing up for their newest addition to the fleet Norwegian Encore at the end of October. This is what inspired our latest blog post. So here’s what to expect from the newest ships for 2019.

Norwegian Encore

The fourth and final ship in the Breakaway Plus Class. She’ll join her classmates Norwegian Joy (Sailing in China), Norwegian Escape, and Norwegian Bliss. With all the fantastic features on-board we’re excited to see her enter the fleet. She’s been designed for “Again, Again!” moments. Take one more lap of the go-karting track, watch a Broadway-style musical, get completely lost in virtual reality. You’ll be able to do all this and much more.

Initially she’ll sail out of Miami, to the Eastern Caribbean for the Winter season 2019. She’ll be the newest ship in the region, and you can enjoy island hopping, with beautiful beaches, colourful reef and lush rainforests. From Summer 2020 she sails out of New York to Bermuda, trade the city for a few days in Bermuda. You can build pink sandcastles, snorkel the kaleidoscope of reefs.

AMAMagna

Imagined and designed by the company’s co-owner and president Rudi Schreiner, she is almost twice the width of traditional European river cruise ships. She offers more choices for leisure and dining on board. Most of the spacious accommodations are suites with full balconies. There are new additions with the extra space. New dining venues, a pool deck bar and whirlpool and outdoor dining.

One of the main values of the ship is wellness. AmaMagna’s Zen Wellness Studio is an expansive space with a fitness center and two massage rooms, and her innovative Water Sports Platform opens to reveal a Sundowner boat upon which intimate river excursions will take place. It’s an opportunity to transform your mind, body and soul within the expansive center.

Ama Magna will sail the Danube, with several itineraries are golf centric. These allow passengers to play five top-level golf courses in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany for a set fee.

Spectrum of the Seas

Just when you thought the Royal Caribbean couldn’t get any bigger, bolder and better. Spectrum of the Seas is due to make a splash. It’s the first ship in the Quantum Ultra Class and we’re waiting on the edge of our seat waiting to see more about her. She’s set to cast off in 2019, with all the features you love…and more.

New features include, virtual reality Skypad, Noodle bar, and Tepenyaki. Plus Sichuan Red, a new specially designed dining experience for Spectrum. A bold tapestry of authentic Asian spices and flavours. Spectrum of the Seas will be based in Asia, so you can explore tranquil temples and bustling cities to idyllic islands and luscious rainforests – all of Asia’s of exotic wonders.

Spirit of Discovery

Selling fast, the first purposefully built Saga cruise ship, along with her sister Adventure of Discovery are the only small cruise ships being built for the British market. There’s a balcony for every guest, and a terrific choice of free speciality restaurants. The ship was dreamt up 5 years ago by the Saga team, and now they’re a few months away from her inaugural sailings and the dreams are becoming a reality.

There are some fantastic features on board, we adore the sound of The Club, an elegant steakhouse and music club. It’s patron is music legend Jools Holland has worked closely with Saga to bring the ideas to life. This ship has other really unique spaces for socialising, entertainment and inspiration. Dedicated craft and card rooms where you can enjoy classes and workshops to learn new skills, make new friends and enrich your experience on board.

Spirit of Discovery will be the first cruise ship to be named in Dover for more than a decade and the first following the regeneration of the Western Docks. Spirit of Discovery’s maiden voyage will sail from Dover on July 10, 2019. The 999-guest ship will circumnavigate the British Isles.

Sky Princess

Setting sail in 2019, Sky Princess will offer a similar sailing experience to her sister ships, Majestic Princess, Royal Princess and Regal Princess. You’ll sail in style, come back new from the premium cruise on Sky Princess. Princess aims to combine relaxation in luxury with Discovery. On board celebrate culture with Festivals of the World, make new friends at the Top Deck Parties, and unwind and refresh with time spent in the stunning Lotus Spa.

You can look forward to Princess’ most exciting entertainment venues yet, their newest dining choices and award-winning chef partnerships, as well as more staterooms than ever to relax in. The newest addition to the fleet elevates their distinctive contemporary design and luxurious attractions to bring the Royal-class ships to even loftier heights.

What’s most exciting for us though is her placement, Sky Princess will debut in the Mediterranean in October 2019. With 10 cruise departures on eight itineraries. The first sailing will be a seven-night Mediterranean and Adriatic cruise sailing from Athens (Piraeus) to Barcelona. From Barcelona, the ship will sail a seven-night cruise to Rome.
