For some travelling solo is a necessity, for some it’s difficult, for others it’s freeing. Some people end up there accidentally, others on purpose. There are so many reasons people travel on their own and many wouldn’t change a thing. (Apart from maybe the single supplement charges!)

How freeing it is to only please oneself. In our ordinary lives there are obligations, must-do’s, must see’s. A constant stream of demands on our time and energy. Holiday Companions Club
For those not wanting to travel alone and aren’t looking for group tours. Finding a travel friend can be tough. That’s why at Strawberry Holidays we set up the group Holiday Companions Club. We have online groups on Facebook and Meetup.com. With in-person meetings every 2 weeks at venues across the North West.
At time of writing we have 435 members, this group is extremely popular and fast-growing. We’re really looking forward to seeing where we can take the group. We’re hoping that through the groups people will find travel companions and new friends for life.
This isn’t somewhere we sell our services, we have our website for that. This is just us managing a group, facilitating get togethers for building relationships with fellow travellers. And we’re so excited!
The groups are made up of solo travellers who are looking for holiday companionship in all forms.
This group is for
- Those who want to travel in a group
- People who want to travel in a group but do their own thing during the day and meet up and night for dinner
- Travellers looking to share their entire trip with a new friends
- Those looking to share a holiday but want to do their own thing too
- People who have never travelled on their own but want to learn how to do it
We take a flexible approach to travel and the group is run by our very own co-founder Kate. We will never directly sell to you in the group. We’ve simply listened to our clients and we know a group like this is in demand. Kate and Fiona take part in running the group, the events and answer questions.
