So we are now already in 2018 if you can believe it? We’ve had an amazing first year and at Strawberry Holidays we’ve just celebrated our first anniversary!
In this blog, I’m hoping to give you a little bit of inspiration of where to travel in 2018. Hopefully these places are ones that you won’t have thought of places that you think aren’t as accessible as they are because of price or because of the way that you travel to them.
Firm favourite at Strawberry Holidays
The first place, is Italy it is one of our favorites it’s a firm favourite at Strawberry Holidays and the country has such a variety of ways to see it. There’s a great transport system, the rail, the road, the sea. All manner of transport options are open to you.
There’s a great variety of things to do in to see and in the country as well and one place I want to talk to you about today is Puglia a great little region and we have a fantastic supplier called Typically Italian, they offer some really unique experiences. If you want to travel during the Easter holidays you can travel to the region for £689 per person*
*Quick disclaimer for you this was edited, 2nd of January at 8:06 and the prices are correct to the best of my knowledge. Prices as always are subject to availability.
For £689 person you can fly from Liverpool, the price includes overseas transfers and luggage allowance it also includes eight days of car hire. Stay bed and breakfast in a four-star hotel but you stay in one of the very traditional trulli houses. These are so unique, and this holiday is a great option for March holidays.
Bucket List – Monaco Grand Prix 2018
The next one is actually a bit of a bucket list one for a lot of people and that is the Monaco Grand Prix. In 2018 trips to see this event have departures on 25th May. There are lots of providers out there that will put this trip on, we particularly like Thomas Cook Sports, they will fly you out to nice put your hotel for three nights they’ll do all your transfers to and from Monaco. All for £1320pp*
*Disclaimer reminder for you this was edited, 2nd of January at 8:06 and the prices are correct to the best of my knowledge. Prices as always are subject to availability.
Stay at the four-star NH hotel in Nice, a double room three nights, bed-and-breakfast and as I say they will organise your tickets to the practice laps and for the race day itself. They’ll also get you to and from the racetrack as well which is a fantastic and a really easy way to do it. All packaged up and ATOL protected.
Travel solo but not alone
The third option I want to talk to you about today is a tour it’s with a group of people it’s 17 nights but you do Thailand, you do Cambodia and Vietnam it’s a highlights tour, I cannot begin to describe how much you get done in this trip.
A wide-ranging adventure showcasing the region’s natural wonders and fascinating cultures, this 17-day trip offers a combination of guided excursions and free time to explore beaches, ruins, urban culture, and awe-inspiring landscapes. Cruise the Mekong for a day and overnight on a traditional sailing junk boat in Halong Bay. Witness the heights of Cambodia’s past at Angkor Wat, and contemplate its lows by walking the infamous Killing Fields. Although many activities are included, there is still plenty of time to explore on your own and create the ultimate adventure.
You are escorted as a group of you and you you’re taken to your hotel and onto these excursions always together as a group the whole trip. Some of your meals are included but it varies between the tours, Seeing this part of the world like this is fantastic, do it with people you know or travel solo but not alone. Enjoy the tour guide who knows the area really well. And journey with like-minded people, enjoy their company and the experiences together.
Tropical Paradise – Mauritius
Final option or final destination that I want to talk to you about today is Mauritius. Now when you hear Mauritius, you might think paradise you might think exclusive beaches, and also think it costs a lot to go there and you couldn’t be more wrong.
The island boasts some tremendous hotels, there’s an amazing golf scene, wildlife sanctuaries and and we have a fantastic provider called Beachcombers who currently have some outstanding deals and at their hotels.
These are five-star resorts which include watersports, childcare, there are different board bases but at the moment you can take a family of four out to Mauritius on a 10 night stay, all inclusive for two adults and two children at prices flying from London Stansted for £5982!*
So for less than you can go to stay in Tenerife or elsewhere in Europe in a five-star resort, all-inclusive you can go to Mauritius. Experience this tropical paradise and a completely different culture, a completely different way of life and a completely different level of luxury. Believe me these hotels they go above and beyond for less than you would go to European destinations. Don’t miss this opportunity. It absolutely blew my mind when I saw it and that’s not it’s not just exclusives that one hotel, there’s a number of hotels on the island.
I think that covers a bit of inspiration for you. We’ve got Italy we’ve got a highlights tour of Vietnam Cambodia and Thailand, bucket list sporting events and Mauritius the tropical paradise.
